The Decatur County Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor the 2026 Up In Smoke BBQ Competition! Join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Sappa Park (1898 1300th Rd., Oberlin, KS 67749) for a day of great food, friendly competition, and community fun.

Sponsorship Opportunities
The Chamber is currently seeking sponsors to help make this event a success. Sponsorship opportunities include:
Level A – $150
- 2 event wristbands
- Business name listed on advertisements, participation flyers, and event signage
Level B – $250
- 4 event wristbands
- Business name listed on advertisements, participation flyers, and event signage
Level C – $500
- 8 event wristbands
- Business name listed on advertisements and participation flyers
- Company banner (if provided) or logo displayed at the event and on the participation flyer

BBQ Competition Information
There are 25 team spots available, so register early!

Entry Information
- Entry Fee: $100 per team
- Camping: $10 per night (if camping Thursday & Friday night- total registration is $120)
- Grills Only (Primitive): $5 per night
- Entry fee includes a BBQ meal for up to four team members.
- Contest meats will be provided.
- Teams are responsible for providing their own Beans and Open Class entries.
- Please note: Electrical hookups are limited.
BBQ Supper
Everyone is invited to enjoy a delicious BBQ supper! Meal tickets will be available for purchase during the event, with supper beginning at 5:00 p.m.
