Have you heard about one of our local organizations called Color Decatur County? Color Decatur County (CDC) is a group of volunteers that are bringing murals & art, in a variety of mediums, to Decatur County. If you haven’t seen the 2 murals they brought to town last year check out the bandshell and the North side of the Nex-Tech building.
Feb 3-11 CDC is having an Online Valentines Auction. You can hop on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61552674996084 and bid on food items and gift certificates that have been donated by local bakers & businesses. Items must be picked up Feb 13th & Feb 14th. This is a great time to get an alternative item for Valentine’s Day or something for yourself!!
Did you see the article last week in the paper that Destry wrote on the EDC executive director was able to apply & receive a HUGE grant from Kansas Commerce. This was a very competitive grant process and of the 50 applicants only 12 were selected!! Way to go Sharee!!!
If you missed the Mental Health Awareness community meeting, you definitely missed out! Representatives from High Plains Mental Health gave an amazing presentation. A lot of great information was presented.
