Oberlin-Decatur County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) would like to inform the public of a NEW hiring incentive program. This program is funded through Northwest Kansas Innovation Center Inc. Decatur County was selected to receive $60,000 for the Decatur County Hiring Incentive Program.
Program Details are as follows: Incentives will not exceed $5,000/individual. Each job is awarded an amount set forth by Decatur County Hiring Incentives committee. (For a list of incentives please reach out to Sharee) If awarded Decatur County Hiring Incentives applicants will receive grant money in increments. Individuals must NOT already reside in Decatur County, they must move to Decatur County within 90 days of their hire date. Jobs must be critical high need jobs such as; EMT’s, nursing, teacher, doctors, & dentist, etc. The employee must work full time and make at least $15.50/hour or $33,000 annually. The employee must sign a “tie-of service” agreement.
The application deadline will be the last day of each month. Applications will be reviewed and award notifications made monthly. This incentive will remain open until the funds are depleted or unless otherwise noted.
